My Car Is Overheating
How can I tell if my engine cooling system needs repair? If your engine’s temperature gauge on your dashboard has slowly made its way into the red zone or rapidly shoots into the red zone, safely pull off onto the side of the road and call an auto mechanic and possibly a tow truck. Your engine cooling system needs maintenance. It could mean that coolant somehow leaked out of your engine cooling system, or the coolant went bad and is no longer able to absorb the heat from the engine block. Smoke coming out of your engine is a sure sign of overheating.
